Invitation to a Community Meeting on a TIRZ in Montrose
When: Saturday, March 14, 2015, 9:30 – 11:00 am
Where: St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Pecore Hall, 1805 West Alabama at Woodhead (entrance and parking on Sul Ross)
The Neartown Association invites all Neartown/Montrose residents and Association members to a community meeting this Saturday, March 14th. The purpose of this meeting is to update the community on recent meetings and discussions concerning the possibilities for a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) in Montrose. As a follow-up to the Town Hall meeting in December, the city is in the process of holding meetings on this topic with Montrose civic leaders and other stakeholder groups. At the community meeting this Saturday, we will share the latest information that we have received on the options for Montrose participation in a TIRZ, discuss pros and cons, and hear your questions and concerns.
