Montrose Green Recycling Day Saturday, October 26, 2013
The City of Houston Solid Waste Management Department, in partnership with the Montrose Management District’s Recycling Subcommittee, is offering free on-site document shredding, recycling of computer components and non-lithium batteries on Saturday, October 26, 2013, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the H-E-B, 1701 West Alabama, Houston 77098.
The following items will be accepted:
* Cameras * CDs, DVDs, floppy disks * Cell phones / personal digital assistant devices * Circuit boards * Copiers * Desktops * DVD / CD / VHS devices * Fax machines * Game consoles and controllers * Hair utensils (blow dryers, straightening irons, etc.) * Hard drives (data storage devices and memory chips) * Keyboards, mice, speakers, cables * Laptops * Lithium-Ion batteries (camera batteries, cellphone batteries) * Monitors (LCD, LED, plasma) * Network switches, routers, and hubs * Nickel-Cadmium batteries (rechargeable batteries) * Plotters * Printers * Projectors * Radios, alarm clocks, and speakers * Scanners * Servers (peripherals and server racks) * Small kitchen appliances (coffee maker, microwave, toaster, etc.) * Tablets * Tape and optical drives * Telephones * Televisions * Toner cartridges * Battery backups
